UK-based smart tracking and guidance solutions innovator Briteyellow is this week delighted to announce it is teaming up with cutting edge Spanish Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality specialist, 6Dlab.

The international partnership was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where the focus is on showcasing how mobile is creating a better future.

Fredi Nonyelu said: “Essentially, 6dlab creates the front end of applications, providing AR and VR solutions for clients across industry 4.0, marketing, training, education and tourism.

“Briteyellow’s role in this exciting collaboration is via our software as a service technology platform, helping 6dlab add value with smart tracking and guidance solutions for both people and assets.”

“We are able to track, for example, the location and movement of employees at indoor locations factories, shoppers in shopping centres, passengers at airports, people as they wander around museums, students at universities and tourists at popular venues.

“In a nutshell, we are able to do this because we have developed a 3D indoor GPS system that locates and is able to track people.”

Briteyellow’s real time data capture allows facility managers to analyse information to a level of unheard of detail. So, for example, the aggregated movement of shoppers can be tracked and analysed to improve the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and improving the flow of people in indoor and outdoor environments.

Fredi Nonyelu added: “It is a very exciting collaboration for us, not least because it adds the power of our 3D indoor location software solutions to Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality to give our clients unrivalled access to data that can transform their offer.

“It also shows that Briteyellow has an outward looking approach to working with other technology companies. This week, in Barcelona, I am confident that we will start the process of forging even more productive partnerships. ”
