Briteyellow has joined an international effort to provide 94 per cent of the UK population with an electronic communication network where devices can connect to each other.

By becoming a WND-UK Channel Partner, Briteyellow will be taking part in the bid to provide the UK with the Sigfox low-power, wide area network (LPWAN).

LPWAN, or LPN, is designed to allow long range communications among connected objects, such as sensors operated on a battery.

Sigfox is a French company founded in 2009 that builds wireless networks to connect low-power objects such as electricity meters, smartwatches, which need to be continuously on and emitting small amounts of data. Operator WND-UK has recently taken on the vision of providing the Internet of Things (IOT) specific network.
