Global Innovation mission to Singapore
Updated: Jul 18, 2019
Briteyellow is one of a select number of UK-based businesses visiting Singapore as part of a global innovation mission.
The Innovate UK mission from September 16 to 22 supports UK-Singapore partnerships in urban infrastructure. The mission aims to build bridges between the two countries and get UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to a position where they are aware and able to exploit the opportunities on offer.
Fredi Nonyelu, the founder of Cranfield-based Briteyellow said: “We are delighted to be among an elite set of 11 UK businesses in Singapore.
“In recent months, we have introduced Briteyellow’s exciting indoor positioning, navigation, and mixed reality (virtual and augmented reality) software-as-a-service platform to audiences in China and India.
“Briteyellow and our pedestrian smart mobility applications are well known in Asia and this visit adds another piece to the jigsaw of our presence in this vital technology-focused region.”
Briteyellow’s BriteLocate3D application can be used in shopping centres, airports, train stations, hospitals and museums as well as a host of other potential large venues.
The mission is the second run by Innovate UK under the Singapore urban bridges programme. These events introduce UK delegates to Singaporean peers, partners, stakeholders and challenge-holders as well as defining the challenges and opportunities that can be addressed by UK-Singapore collaborations.
The missions also explore commercial and collaborative research and development opportunities in Singapore and support consortium-building that will allow UK businesses to more easily exploit commercial opportunities.
The activity is in line with government’s UK-Singapore Innovation and Research Partnership and commitment to Singapore’s National Research Foundation (NRF) to collaborate in support of innovation.
