Global indoor location tech innovator Briteyellow has won a significant award from the UK Government to accelerate the development of its people tracking technology.
The funding is for a wearable and app for elderly people living alone or in assisted living.
The product will track the movement of people in need precisely, inside care homes, hospitals, or in private dwellings, and analyse their behaviour patterns.
This will provide insights for decision making, identifying anomalies through artificial intelligence, and sending timely alerts to care givers for faster intervention and assurance.
“This Innovate UK investment will accelerate development of this cutting-edge product,” said Fredi Nonyelu, the chief executive of Briteyellow.
“We see a world where people in need living independently or in social care have the assurance that their well-being is being monitored always.”
Dr Ian Campbell, the Executive Chair of Innovate UK said: “Businesses from all over the UK have answered our call rapidly to meet the challenges we face today and in the future through the power of innovation.
“The ideas we have seen can truly make a significant impact on society, improve the lives of individuals, especially those in vulnerable groups and enable businesses to prosper in challenging circumstances.”
