Briteyellow is one of only 20 SMEs and larger organisations to be attending a UK government trade mission to India from November 6-12.

The Connected Cities Trade Mission, led by the Department of International Trade, Innovate UK and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), will be visiting New Delhi, Pune and Kochi.

Fredi Nonyelu, Briteyellow’s chief executive, said: “The Smart Cities agenda is huge in India, where cities are investing the equivalent of many billions of pounds in services. Briteyellow is thrilled to be involved in this important trade visit, where we will be able to put our technology in front of key people.”

Briteyellow will showcase its BriteLocate3D pedestrian smart mobility software as a service platform for Indoor Location and Internet of Things applications.

The trade mission will embrace India’s high ambitions for the sector and is taking place at the same time as the India-UK TECH Summit – an unprecedented three-day showcase and business expo designed to drive even greater levels of business between the UK and India. Overall, £24 billion worth of investment is expected across 100 Indian cities over the next 5-7 years.

Fredi added: “The trade mission will give Briteyellow an exciting opportunity to engage directly with potential partners and investors

as well as showcase our pedestrian smart mobility technology to potential customers and government officials.”

The programme includes attending the three day India-UK TECH Summit in Delhi, which is organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry. It is India’s largest knowledge, technology conference and exhibition and the Partner country for 2016 is the UK.
