Bringing New Innovation to China

Briteyellow is on a mission to introduce its leading-edge indoor location software to even more potential partners in China. The Cranfield, UK-based company, which specialises in providing data solutions to the owners and managers of large indoor spaces, has been selected to join a Future Cities Mission to Shenzhen on November 26-30.

Fredi Nonyelu, the chief executive of Briteyellow, said: “China offers UK companies huge opportunities. Asia as a whole is very technology focused, but business leaders there still like to be able to look you in the eye and find out what you can offer.

“Briteyellow has been to Asia many times, so it will be good to connect once more with customers and potential partners in that amazing county.”

During the one-week in-country Future Cities Missions, led by Innovate UK, companies meet and pitch to prospective partners, investors and customers and visit local pioneering future cities projects. The mission will highlight the wealth of opportunity for UK companies in China’s Greater Bay Area.

This cluster of 11 cities across the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macau province is Asia’s most dynamic region. It’s currently developing into a global hub for technology and innovation and has aspirations to become a world-leading economic centre that will rival Tokyo, San Francisco and New York.

Briteyellow and the the other successful cohort of UK urban innovators will visit Shenzhen and Guangzhou. A range of meetings have been arranged.

Innovate UK’s mission partners are the Department of International Trade (DIT), the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), the Future Cities Catapult and London-based open innovation experts 100%Open.
