John Lewis, Milton Keynes, Sponsors Free Wireless Broadband - September 2007
Tech-savvy shoppers in Milton Keynes will soon be able to log onto the world wide web and enjoy free wireless broadband and digital technology services while they peruse stores in theCentre:MK.
Customers who like to stay connected will be able to pop into the audio department in John Lewis to purchase a new ipod, stroll down to Midsummer Boulevard and log on to check emails before heading back to the Place to Eat for a coffee and a cake.
John Lewis Milton Keynes and the wireless communication specialist Briteyellow have announced a new sponsorship agreement with John Lewis Milton Keynes for its “Britezone” free access wireless broadband service.
The sponsorship will extend coverage of the Britezone to Milton Keynes Central Station, connecting users along Midsummer Boulevard via thehub:mk district, to the central shopping centre at Midsummer Place.

Britezone will cover the Milton Keynes central station square and will be accessible from the growing number of bars and restaurants. The zone links with other Britezone areas already available across the city. John Lewis Milton Keynes’ logo will appear to every user when they first log on to the Britezone. Users are able to choose free access basic broadband or paid subscription for faster connection speeds.
